There are different apps to help you track and that give you insight about your chart. One of the most popular ones is fertility friend but I also liked kindara. You get a bbt thermometer and set your alarm for the same time every single morning and take your temp the very first thing you do when you wake up before even moving. Then you record it. The first part of your cycle your temp will be .5-1 degree farenheit lower than after you ovulate. When you ovulate, you'll see a big temp spike that tells you to either have sex if trying to conceive or not have unprotected sex if trying to avoid. You can also use it to predict your period (temp will typically drop off the day before) or pregnancy (temp usually stays elevated for 18+ days after ovulation during pregnancy). Using bbt and monitoring cervical mucus we got pregnant in one month when we had been ntnp for 2.5 years with no success, so it definitely helps!
