Gender- find out or surprise?

Question

Since before ever being pregnant I always said I'd love a surprise at birth if I have a boy or a girl, now that I'm finally pregnant I've started saying the same...until now!

I don't know if I can bare the suspense, it seems like a mid way milestone and so exciting to know something new about my baby!

Anyone done both and have a preference? What does everyone think x

I hate when people say they need to find out in order to "get things ready"- last time I checked all babies need the same gear, diapers, etc! Lol. I am a super organized type A personality and we still want to be surprised. The only thing you need to know if it matters to you is the colors. It doesn't matter to us, if anything I prefer the gender neutral stuff when they are tiny. And it doesn't all have to be yellow and green...there's lots of colors out there- grey, white, turquoise, orange, red etc. plus they fit in each outfit for such little time that by the time everyone knows the gender you'll be getting tons of gender specific things. I'm going to get one coming home outfit for a boy and one for a girl. I'll also have a few little girl headbands in case it's a girl. Other than that it'll be all gender neutral. Whether you find out or keep it a surprise til the end it'll be amazing and it's totally your call! Just don't base it on wanting to "feel ready" because you can totally do that without knowing the gender. 😉

I'm having a surprise! In order to prepare I've made lots of gender neutral onesies! Then I created 2 girlie ones. I've bought gender neutral baby legs and also have some headbands. I figure I can go crazy buying after baby is here!

I've have a boy and a girl already... So this little one is my third.

When I first found out I was pregnant I was dead set on it being a surprise, I found out with my last two. Then I started looking at gender natural items and I hated them, to top it all off I found out we were having twins so needless to say the surprise idea went right out the window. Lol I find out today what we are having and I can't wait.

Maybe you & the dad can know and surprise family at birth? I'm pregnant with my first and already know what I'm having but I always said if I had one of each my next would be a surprise

I too was set on not finding out until the baby got here comma, but for some reason this week that all changed....I just have to know! I just feel like it's going to help me connect with the baby more and since everybody is hinting at me that it could be a boy  (I've always really wanted a girl) I feel like I need to start mentally preparing myself for a boy just in case,lol. It really doesn't matter, it's all the same in the end, and it's ALWAYS  going to be loved.

We didn't find out with our first (a girl) and LOVED it. It was an amazing experience to wait and not know and then the days she was born we had a lovely little surprise. We did find out with this one to help big sister have a more concrete idea of the pregnancy… and we regret it. We just feel like there's less to look forward to at the birth now (of course we will get to meet our new baby) and we have some mild stress that the ultrasound and genetic test will be wrong (rare for them both to be wrong, I know). That waiting period between the ultrasound they told me it was a boy and the genetic test results coming in to confirm was SUPER stressful. Next time we definitely won't be finding out. We enjoyed that experience so much more.

I was the same way! I wanted it to be a surprise now I'm dying of the suspense and I can hardly wait another whole month! I'm debating on going to get a 3D ultrasound tomorrow and to find out once and for all. I wanna stop calling baby "IT"
