Miscarriage without back pain?

Question

So I am 6 weeks 2 days and I have been spotting for two days. It has ranged from bright red blood to brown and bright red again. All of it has small clots... My back doesn't hurt but oh my I feel like I'm on my period. My uterus is cramping so bad and it's all I can do to just lay here... My doctor said to wait until Monday because no one can see me unless I go to the ER and she said I shouldn't go there unless I have severe pain and bleeding. 
I am pretty sure I'm having a miscarriage and I will test in the morning... 
Has anyone else experienced a miscarriage like this?
I'm so so incredibly sad. But I had a feeling something was wrong at 11-13 dpo when my test lines were getting lighter... They got darker at 16 dpo and have since got darker...
Any help or advice? This is my first pregnancy...

Yes, my miscarriage was like that. At first it was bleeding with no cramping, so I had hope. Then the cramping started, and it was like a looong, heavy period. No back pain. I don't think back pain is typical... My ER experience was awful. I actually regret going. I didn't have any complications like super heavy bleeding or a fever, so all they did was check my levels and tell me to follow up with my doctor. By the next day, I didn't need to follow up with my doctor to know it was a miscarriage. It's heartbreaking. I had tried for 2.5 years and didn't know how I'd ever recover. But one day, somehow, you do. I got pregnant less than 5 months later (only 2 months of trying,) and am just about to hit my 3rd trimester with my rainbow baby. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

I miscarried at 6 weeks and didn't have any back pain or pain at all. I bled for about 2 weeks with the amount increasing and the color getting brighter over the course of the 2 weeks. About 45 mins before I miscarried, I began having mild cramps and then very light contractions. I suddenly felt like I needed to use the bathroom and when I did, it was obvious that I had a miscarriage. I continued to bleed for several days but it was very light and I had no more cramps or anything immediately after. For me, going to the hospital wouldn't have done anything. Based on my hcg and progesterone levels, my Dr knew in advance that the pregnancy wasn't viable. She actually called me at 8am that morning after she saw my labwork  to prepare me for the miscarriage but I had already  miscarried at 4am. She told me to do nothing but rest and checked my hcg a week later to make sure my body had naturally passed everything.
