College boyfriend?

I need advice, my boyfriend and I just started our relationship even tho we've liked eachother for a while. We've just been really hesitant because he's a senior and I'm a sophomore in hs. And there's no problem with that and our parents fully support us. But the problem is that he's going to college 2 hrs away and I'll still be in hs. We just don't want to get too attached even tho we really like eachother, because he doesn't want me to end up hurt in August when he leaves. We don't know if we would stay together throughout college until I get there... Idk I'm just upset and need some advice and stories

This probably isn't what you want to hear but here is my story. I started dating a junior when I was at the end of my freshman year in high school. He was perfect. We continued to date and when he went off to college after graduation he was only an hour away. I would drive down every weekend to see him. After a year of doing that, I found out that he had been cheating on me since he got to college. He had been with 6 different girls. I was devastated. He told me it was because I was so far away and he was curious about what it would be like to have a girl close by while in college. We were on and off because he was the only thing I ever knew. It was hard to leave him and when I would, I would go crawling back. He knew he messed up and begged for me to come back. I did, over and over again. Until I couldn't take anymore. He would never cheat on a girl again, but once he lost my trust, it was gone. I wasted 5 years of my life. When I finally had enough, I let go for good. If I could go back I would have never attempted a relationship with a college guy. College changes people. It is the first time they are out on their own. Party's happen, drinking happens, alot people make mistakes. I wouldn't put myself through all of that. I would much rather spare myself the hurt.

You're young, you don't need to be in a complicated situation unless you really want to. It's all up to you. Is he worth it? There are so many guys out there and you have so much growing up to do. If you're meant to be only time will tell.

My bf lives 3 hrs away. I'm a senior in HS. We've been together officially for 7 months now. I see him every other weekend during the school year except during breaks when he comes back home. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, if you two are meant to be
