Part 8 (Aries/Aries story): apartment hunting

Miranda and Micaela finally saved enough to find an apartment together. They had bounced a few ideas off of one another, but there was one special apartment that they always seemed to go back to. The Zodiacs. It was an apartment complex made up purely of astrologers, professional and amateur alike. They all encouraged compatible charts to room together and apparently they have been solely responsible for several marriages among members of the apartments.

The girls decided to try to join the apartment complex. The first question was asking about their chart. The girls giggled as Miranda told Micaela hers while the latter wrote their charts down. Then they completed the rest of the application. The final page was all questions about what they knew about Astrology. This was so exciting!

About two weeks went by before Micaela received a phone call while the girls were at Ikea doing furniture pricing. “Hello?” She greeted when she picked up her phone. The other line was silent a moment before a woman asked, “Hello?” “Yes, hello,” Micaela greeted again. “Hello, is this Micaela Silverton?” Micaela nudged Miranda with a grin. “Yes it is, who is this?” The woman’s voice perked up a bit as she replied, “This is Ms. Linch from The Zodiac Apartment Complex. We are calling regarding you and Miranda Michaelson.” The two girls hugged happily. “Yes, hello! Oh, I am so happy to hear from you. We are actually doing some furniture hunting right now, so she is here with me.” “Well, we would love to welcome you to the Zodiac family. We have two two-bedroom apartments or one one-bedroom.”

Micaela could barely contain her excited squeal. “Wow, yes, thank you! We will come in as soon as we can to discuss the last bit of stuff and to get an apartment rented to move into!” She said in one breath. Miranda was giving a silent squeal of joy as they clasped hands. “That sounds great. See you soon?” “See you then!” The line went dead after the two said goodbye and the friends squealed happily. They got their dream apartment!
