Do you go to a reproductive endocrinologist?

If you do how long were you ttc before going to a reproductive endocrinologist and do you try clomid or Femara  with your ob/gyn first?

I just got the word this week clomid didn't make me ovulate so I too will be going the RE route. My initial appt is may 17th.

I just had my first RE appointment yesterday. We have been trying to conceive for around 18months with 8 months of clomid 150mg. We were refered from our OBGYN after 8 months of TTC on clomid. It took almost 3years with our daughter 4 years ago. The RE said he is taking me off of clomid and doing some more test. Then if we do the IUI he is switching me to famera because he said it has less side effects. Plus he said that on large doses 100mg or more for long periods of time can actually thin the lining of your uterus and decrease CM which are key factors for getting pregnant. So now just waiting to take some timed test.

I live in Alaska and there are no RE's here so I go to Womens Health on base. It's ok. But I've been TTC for almost 2 years and I feel like I have to do my own research and ask/suggest things (and that's with multiple doctors) so I can't wait to move and see an RE!

I'm waiting on my referral. I'm at 15 months TTC; I was sent to a specialty OB at month 11. And after a failed uterine septum surgery in March, I was sent for an MRI and now off to an RE.
