Lunch meat?

I've heard that you CANT eat it while pregnant and I've heard you CAN IF you heat it up.

What's your opinion on it?

If it's heated enough to kill bacteria. Though I still eat it. I didn't with my first pregnancy. Pregnant women are more susceptible to getting sick that's why they say stay away.

This has been the toughest part for me since I'm obsessed with cold sandwiches. I've heard you need to hear it up until the meat reaches I believe 160 degrees to kill bacteria. Such a buzz kill😩

Nitrites aren't removed by heating it. It's linked to brain tumours in babies. Doesn't mean it will happen, the chance is fairly small.
