No more ultrasounds once I reach 3rd trimester?

Question

Is that normal? My ob said that it wasn't necessary for another ultrasound to be scheduled. But how would I know if my baby is breech? How would i know how my baby is growing?  I haven't had an ultrasound since 22 weeks and I'm now 30 weeks. I don't want to be one of those mothers that finds out last minute that I need a c section... and she's not willing to schedule another ultrasound.

You only medically need two ultrasounds. Your doctor can tell if the baby is breech by feeling your belly.

Yes that is very common. I get what you mean about a C-section, but keep in mind that during labor there's many things that could happen that would be cause for an emergency C-section. Not trying to scare you just keep in mind that some things can't be planned in advance and things happen quickly regardless of whether you had an ultrasound or not

You can tell if baby is breech by touching your belly and if baby is growing by if your belly is growing. I had an ultrasound at 12 weeks and never after that but we knew baby was growing and head down just by touching.

Mine could tell the baby was breech just by looking at my belly,  baby didn't move until 37/38 weeks. My Dr didn't do a third trimester ultrasound until close to the end to determine position and babys size  to make sure I could deliver vaginally, before then there's not much they can do because the baby could still turn or grow too large. My doctor does a ton of ultrasounds throughout the pregnancy but not many third trimester unless there's a specific concern, so it sounds normal to me.

I have one scheduled at 28 weeks and another at 34 weeks. They are both through a high risk ob. My regular ob has only gone doppler since 21 weeks

You usually don't get more than one ultrasound the doctor can check you and tell you if your baby is breech and if your stomach is growing the baby is growing. You'll kno before hand if you need a c section

I only get two also. The first was at 10 weeks (at my first appointment) and the next will be to confirm the gender at 20 wks.
