Heavy bleeding after taking provera?
So, I have PCOS and I am prescribed provera to take for ten days every 90 days without a period. Normally, I take it for the full duration and then 10-14 days afterwards I get a decently heavy period for three days. This time around, I only took 7 days worth of the pills before my period started. The night of the 3rd day, it got progressively heavier and on the 4th day (yesterday) it got even worse. I was bleeding through a tampon and a pad every hour, passing clots like crazy (every tampon removal had at least 2 clots follow behind) and started to feel extremely weak, light headed and started shaking. Went to the ER, waited for well over four hours to be seen and by that point the bleeding had slowed tremendously and the doctor looked at me like I was nutzo. They did a urine test for pregnancy (which was negative), a CBC blood test and a pelvic exam. Everything checked out just fine. I feel really stupid. I keep worrying that maybe I was pregnant and had a miscarriage. I've had all varieties of period issues and my periods have never been that bad before. I know my body enough to know that what happened was not normal. Am I crazy to worry about it having been a miscarriage? Anyone else been through anything similar?
