Clomiphene

I started my period today. I Wil be taking my third round of clomiphene in the third. Does anyone know how many rounds u can take before they take u off the meds? Like, I've heard your not suppose to takin more than 3 treatments, is that true? Me and my husband have tried having a child for 7 years on our own and it never happened. We finally went to a fertility doc to get help. We are hoping it works. Has anyone gotten pregnant on this med yet? How long did it take
