Stuck between a rock and a hard place...

Okay, so I'm looking for a little advice on my situation. When I told my boyfriend of almost 5 years I was pregnant, he left. We didn't have contact at all for a little while, he even blocked me on Facebook. And now he is contacting me through text only saying that he doesn't want to be together but wants to be there for his kid. He didn't go to any of the first doctors appointments and has yet to see an ultrasound. He did show up to my 12 week appointment but nothing really was done then. He acted very uninterested and like he didn't want to be there. He was texting and on Facebook pretty much the entire time. And honestly it was just very uncomfortable and made me feel like it would almost be better without him there. I have told him multiple times that we need to meet in person and talk about things like adults because it's clear that we are on two completely different pages. We have a lot of history so that definitely makes it a lot harder of a situation. I've also been in close contact with his mom since I've found out and she is also very disappointed in how he is handling this. I feel that he thinks when the baby gets here he will just be able to take him/her whenever he pleases and that we will not have to see eachother or communicate. Also he keeps saying that he needs to know the gender so he can start buying things.. So my question is... How do I handle this? I just feel very confused and kind of defeated. Please help!!!
