Can sex tear u

So about a week ago i noticed it hurt when i had sex w my husband. I looked and noticed i have what looks like a tear by the opening of my vagina. (Like on the bottom right of it)..never happened before and only hurts during sex . its also swollen a little around the opening. .. Any suggestions how to make it heal faster or how it happened?? Or if it was even sex that caused it?
