Semen Analysis

My husband low count. The doctor put him on 6 different vitamins to help boost his count and the he retest in two weeks.

I know they say to abstain from sex for 3 to 5 days but I'm a bit confused. Does the mean that he should ejaculate before abstaining 3 to 5 days? They say anything more than than and they die off but something just occurred to me.

We did just that last semen Analysis and his count came back low and everything else way normal.... do you think his semen recovery time is maybe slow? For the retest, should we do anything differently?
