I used to get those when I was in high school. Not carpet burns but floor burns. They looked the same. Once when my mom saw I told her I was exercising for basketball and the exercise required being on our back on the gym floor (it was a ab workout... I forget what it's called)

I literally just had one on my spine, it's all healed up now though. I just said that we were rough housing and he drug me across the carpet and got a rug burn. Lol
