Guy friend

So I have been dating my boyfriend for almost 9 months and it's pretty serious. I love him more than anything and I would never cheat. I met this guy though a while back and we have been friends. I do not feel any way towards him other than just friends. I wanted to hang out with him since I don't have many friends. He doesn't have feelings for me as far as I know and my boyfriend knows that I talk to him in a friendly manner. Would it be bad if I hung out with him?
