Castor oil??

Question

Has anyone ever used castor oil on their hair while being pregnant? Is it harmful? I've been using it for 2 weeks now applying every other day. And I'm starting to get a little curious about if this is safe or not...?

Switch to coconut oil! Castor oil is not heathy when pregnant

I absolutely wouldn't use it. When ingested, it is a dangerous laxative that can cause uterine contractions and can kill the baby. Obviously the effects (if any) wouldn't be as severe from topical use, but everything you put on your hair/skin absorbs into your blood stream to some extent. Personally, it seems to risky to be worth it.
