Transgender Bathroom Laws: opinions.

Jess
Please be fully respectable to everyone. Not everyone agrees to what NC, AL, and Target are doing.
I don't personally care which they use as long as they don't mess with someone's kid. I do feel this is going to possibly be ripe for abuse on both sides of the spectrum.
I'm also curious if Target would be violating state laws that deny transgenders to use the bathroom they choose. And if so could the states with those laws have a suit against target?

Personally I think it's gotten out of hand, who cares how you identify yourself? If we are in the same bathroom, I'm going to assume your doing the same thing as me in there. That means that your either, popping, peeing, changing your pads or tampons, taking pictures, or checking your self out in the mirror. And if I happen to see you, chances are; I'm going to complement your shoes, hair, makeup (if you wear it), clothing, your bag, or God forbid I say something awkward like a comment on the weather. Either way you poop like me.. Sitting down. No matter how you were born, if you are comfortable going into a bathroom with me, I'm comfortable with you. 🤗

For people who disagree:Molesters and rapists do not care for your consent to enter these bathrooms and to deny someone the right to go fricken pee because you're so concerned about their genitals make you quite repulsive, and creepy.Scenario: in your mind you're dead set on being a boy, you're more comfortable with he/him and you love the boy lookThen some piece of crap spouts their unwanted opinion that you are a girl and you should just accept it and embrace it, and forces you to go in the girls knowing full well it makes you upset and uncomfortable. How would you feel? You're welcome.

personally, if I were to see transgender female in the bathroom I would be so happy for her. it does not bother me because I'm in the bathroom to use it, not to judge anyone or make accusations.

You should be able to use the bathroom you are comfortable in. Let everyone pee in peace

It doesn't affect me in anyway so it's fine with me if transgender people use the bathrooms they feel comfortable in. As for the whole "sexual predator" issue, I would like to know what makes people thing sexual assault doesn't ALREADY happen in public bathrooms. It's not like there are round the clock security guards guarding the bathrooms. Also, who's to say transgender people aren't already using public bathrooms? So what, we're gonna knock on every stall like "Yo, vagina check." It's pretty ridiculous. If youre so worried about sexual predators, maybe stay home and don't go anywhere. Cause predators are ALWAYS gonna be there, regardless of gender. Rant over. 😅

Exactly. And not abuse to children like people think. It's abuse to transgender people who are exactly that....people. Just like everyone else

Likely stand out. People are just ridiculous. Changing laws isn't going to stop the predators, but it will create more abuse.

I literally just laughed out loud when I read 'vagina check!' That's kind of my thought too. You aren't going to know one way or the other. And transgenders fit in and look like the gender they identify with more than people think. The predators acting like the gender they aren't will more than

It doesn't bother me. If you identify as a girl, then go in the girls bathroom. My only concern with this is people abusing this and going into the opposite genders bathroom to get off and be rude about it

I think SC is about to hit the same snag

I just think that it real convenient for /many/ of you guys to have the "sexual predators" excuse land on your lap. Here's the thing, I have called out many people on here about their comments that that contain the following BS: victim blaming, sexualising minors, slut shaming, trivialising the need for continuous and informed consent, trying to police rape victims, say that people are deserving of sexual assault if their clothes are revealing or if they drink too much or if they stay out too late,  say that male born people can't be raped. ect. ect. All shit that AIDS to rape culture basically. So I find it so fucking ironic that the users that have said shit concerning the issues above multiple times on CC are now real fucking "concerned" about sexual assault. Which they clearly aren't and their lack of concern is real fucking transparent too, due to the fact that NB people face a higher risk of assault when forced to use bathrooms that go against their gender identity. Transgender women are especially at risk to verbal, physical and sexual assault when forced to use male bathrooms. So yeah, I see right through your shit. You don't give a damn about rape culture, sexual predators or the prevalence of sexual assault, or at least not as much as you're letting on. You are clinging to a flawed "sexual predator" argument in order to attempt to mask over your LGBT+ phobic beliefs.

Personally I have never heard somebody say "she deserved it" due to clothing. But hey whatever makes the world go round I supposed.. I take back the shame on you part, I apologize.

They may be concerned, but there are so many on this app using the possibility of sexual assault as a means to further harm NB people, and in some cases discriminate against NB people without risk of being called out on it.

How is it shame on me when I literally have discussed this issue with users who will demand how we have to protect our children from "sexual predators" but the next minute say that people should expect and deserved to be sexually assaulted due to their clothing on another thread?
