ECV vs Planned C Section

I am 34weeks 4days today and at my apt today the ultrasound showed baby boy is still frank breech.  They gave me the option to do a version at 37weeks or plan for a scheduled c section at 39weeks.  I go back next week to speak in further detail to the doctor about the version but I am not sure how comfortable my husband and I are with doing it.  Does anyone have experience with a successful version or c section recovery?  Help first time mommy!!!
