Premies?

Anyone else have a premie baby? Having troubles with gas and constipation. What do you mommys use? Im absolutely terrified to give her anything.

Maybe get those funny butt whistles? I forget what they're really called but you stick it in the butthole and it's sposed to release the gas lol I swear I'm not making this up!

Try moving her legs in a  bicycle movement not fast or anything just gentle and put hee knees to her tummy. It might help, it helped my son when he was an infant. It basically moves gas bubbles around. Other than that I don't know :( I did see a video a while back online called something like "how to calm a crying baby" it was a Dr showing a way to hold a baby to calm them down but idk if that really works. My daughter was not a preemie but we did infant massage for gas. Need to move clockwise around belly but helps move things through intestines. Also draw I L U on belly. You'll need a visual should be able to find online but my sister works with therapists for babies and they use this all the time.  The bicycle legs helped too. Good luck!

My first born was a 26 weeks old preemie and she suffered a lot from gastro intestinal  issues because she was born so early. Her doctor sent us to a gastroenterologist specialized in preemies, babies and children.  Your preemie needs special care. You should try asking your doctor for a referral or look for a specialist in your area. Preemies are very fragile so you don't want to wait too long on the issue.

Try adding a few drops of simethicone (infant gas drops) into formula if you are using powdered formula, massage tummy, bicycle legs, Dr Browns bottle, gripe water, and bouncing baby to soothe. Its kinda trial and error. It will get better.
