Is labor close?

I had a pelvic exam yesterday at 38 weeks. When I go to the bathroom there's a tiny bit of blood when I wipe. I'm dilated 1-2 cm...is the blood from the exam, or is labor getting close?

Sometimes exams will cause cervical bleeding

Its not uncommon to bleed a tad bit after a cervical check, but sometimes getting that check can actually stir things up and bring on labor! Only way to know is to wait and see :)

I bled for a full day after my last exam. Was told that is normal.
