Life changer?

Question

When you accepted God as your Lord and Savior, did your life change? Or did you continue living the same way? Why? So many Christians act one way in church and preach to others but outside  of church their life didn't change they are still running around with whomever, drugs, sex, alcohol, mean and hateful. They are okay with that, it's not right

In all honesty I learned about God when I was 7-8ish and the concept of hell kind of scared me straight. But only for a little while. Around 12-13ish I didn't know much about the Lord so I begin to doubt. In other words I was lukewarm. I loved God when things were going great but when they were bad I would immediately think me, myself, and I can do it on my own. Then I got baptized when I was 15 I still was doing wrong and I chalked it up to the baptism must have been like a bad perm and did not take. But as of January of this year at age 22 I got serious about learning who God, praying and reading the bible. There is a lot that I still don't know but I know that is God. When I felt his anointing cover me I felt peace. I still fall short as I am still learning but I make sure I repent and run as far away as I can from sin. I also realize that I can do anything on my own. Its God alone that blesses me and has blessed me all alone the way. So, I guess those people you just described has to come to their own realization about who God is to them. But also in the bible it says that many will claim to be for Jesus but won't actually be. So many claim the Gospel but aren't really for it because they are for the world.

It's not our place to judge other people in the way God does, that is above our pay grade. The epicenter of Jesus' teaching was to love one another and to show grace and mercy in the way he does. Yes, once you start having a relationship with God, life does change. He gave us his son to show us in the flesh what it means to follow him. Temptation and self distruction was around then just as it is today. No one is perfect and will never come close to being Jesus so it is important to lay down our stones that we like to throw at others. Jesus was friends with the sinners for a reason. That's one of the problems of Chrisitanity is that many people know the word of God but don't experience the love from his people. If we continue to love those hard to change ppl maybe they will see a bit of God inside of you and will want to change!

No it's not right at all. But in today's society people have become so accepting of everything. They have the mindset of 'God loves everyone no matter how they are'. Actually, i hate to break it to them but that couldn't be farther from the truth. God has given us his commandments and told us how he wants us to live our lives to please him. So if one calls himself a good Christian and still does the things that the Bible clearly condoms then that person is not acceptable to God. People just don't get this. And its not their fault entirely. This is what they are being taught in church from the so called 'men of God'! Prophecy fulfilling itself. Satan has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they may not see the light. It is unfortunate but this is what is happening in 80% of churches.

Honestly i gave my heart to God when i was 5ish. But recently i have been growing closer to Him it took 15 years for me to realize how far a way i was from Him. Now i am closer to him then i ever will be.

Bible says not everyone who calls me Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of God, in other words there are alot of people who got to church and who are religious in that they know what to do but they are not genuinely saved. Scriptures say in John that light and darkness cannot coexist together. When the love of God and the holy spirit comes into your life he displaces everything that does not give him glory, and yes, it will not happen over night but it will eventually happen.
