Baby monitor age limit?

Does anyone have an age where the monitor is no longer needed - i cant bare to part with mine, my daughters 6 & 3 share a room but i still have a monitor incase they need to shout me, given they could just come down and get me id rather they didnt do that .. Anyone else like me?

I have 2... I use one for my 8 year old only because he has sleep apnea. He had surgery and is sleeping much better at night but I still keep one in his room just in case. And the other one for my 1 year old. I believe is when ever you feel more comfortable in having one. I also have a 10 year old but don't use one with her just the fact that she's older and if she needs something she can just let me know

Maybe switch up the baby monitor for a set of walkie-talkies since they're older and share a room.

My son is 7 and I still have one in his room for the same exact reason 😊

I never used one for my son. He's 6 now has always slept thru the night even in the hospital. I think it depends on what your comfortable with and the baby.

My dd was about 2 when we got rid of her monitor.  Basically when she was big enough to come get me if she needed something.

I should of mentioned their room has a door the landing has a door and my living room has a door.. We stand by rule of bedtime is bedtime which is in the bedroom so they only leave to pee never come downstairs and wont .. So would just cry if needed and im scared i wouldnt hear them 😢

We still use one in our 3.5 year olds room. I'll probably leave it until he's in kindergarten.
