Provera and.....?

So I'm having terrible cramps. So bad that I cannot walk. I'm on day 5 of 7 pills of provera, and I called an oncall doctor and asked about it and she told me my symptoms are normal because I'm not used to the progesterone in the pill. 
My question is; 
Should I take Provera with Vicodin? 
Now I usually NEVER turn to these types of pain killers because I DO NOT like the way they make me feel. But at this point I'm almost desperate for some relief. :/
