Delivered at 26weeks 6days, My Story.

Brittney
I got home from work on Saturday and got myself ready for our events for the evening when all of a sudden I felt a small gush, went to the bathroom and found blood. I immediately started freaking out, especially because I've been feeling fine. My husband rushed me to the hospital and I went straight to labor & delivery wherw they immediately checked me in and got me to a room. I was admitted before we knew it. My placenta had began to rupture and my bleeding got worse. Our baby was starting to show signs he wasn't ok, heartbeat waa dropping and he was moving all over because of stress. My blood pressure then dropped and the Dr said we are going to have to take this baby today. This is after 11hours of monitoring and me getting a dose of steroids to help with baby's lungs. I was rushed back to the operating room, aloe and scared but I knew this was what is best for my baby to have a chance at survival. I was out before I knew it. My husband said it was the longest 6 minutes of his life! 6 minutes! That all it took to open me up and save my baby. They did CPR and revived our baby. He was then rushed to NICU where he has been since. Our baby boy Gage Avery was born at 4:15AM May 1st, 2016 exactly 3 months early. Gage is doing great in the NICU, and we continue to pray daily that he continues to grown and get stronger. This is our roller-coaster ride, may not be ideal to what we had planned, but Gage is here now and we are all doing our best!
