Is it naive to not have the genetic testing

I had a nuchal screening at 12 weeks and everything came back perfect and my so and I have no family history of any generic abnormalities so I decided not to do the extra blood work. I'm now 17 weeks and at my last appointment my doctor said there were more tests that could be done for Down syndrome and other things and I said I didn't think I wanted them although I really don't know what they are, I just know I don't want to be worried for nothing. At my gender ultrasound I saw all her bones, including nose bone, so I assumed (not a doctor!) that was another indicator of no Down syndrome. Is it naive of me to assume my baby is healthy? I won't have another ultrasound for a bit as I'm out of town until 23 weeks
