If you've taken Tamiflu while pregnant, how did it make you feel?

My 4 year old son got the flu so the OBGYN put me on Tamiflu for 10 days just to be safe. 24 weeks pregnant and I have no fever, but feel aweful :( sick to my stomach, tired, weak, flushed.... Want to hear about other mommy experiences.

Answer

Tamiflu is proven to help with like 6-18 hours of the flu. It does not prevent you from catching flu, just tries to shorten the symptoms you have. With that being said, it is EXTREMELY harsh on your stomach. We always tell patients in the ER it isn't worth it to feel like you're going to puke all the time, or actually have to puke when it hasn't really been proven effective against the flu.

Answer

I was on it with my last pregnancy and  went into labor about 2 days into my treatment. I had my baby while sick with the flu. It was terrible. Tamiflu helped a lot, actually. :)
