First time I have a crush on a mixed man...

In the past I have usually dated Caucasian males. But lately I've been broadening my horizons and have grown very attracted to a mixed African-American man

I am Mex-American and not gonna lie my family is a bit prejudice, which is why I have stuck to only Caucasian and latino men.

Anyway there's this guy I met at an mbti meetup in my town who is pretty freaking awesome. I am starting to like him but I am worried that if I do date him my family is going to talk crap about him. I don't really want to torch bridges with my family.

And on top of that I am planning on magnifying my goth style a bit (another reason to have my family on my case).

It's weird to think that society will definitely give an even stronger double take at the latina goth with her African-American bf.

Any advice or experiences?
