how can I get my mom to consider bc

I'm 16 years old and I've had a boyfriend for two years now we've been sexually since we started dating I've bought it to my mothers attention because I have horrible cramps and she exploded how would I do it when I'm actually talking about cramps ? My point is what harm can birth control do it's only helps.
