Stripping Membranes? Did it work for u?

Question

38 weeks today and have been dilated to a 4 and 90 % effaced for a week! I have had terrible Prodromal labor for about a month now.. 😐I have an appointment today and he told me to think about it and if I wanted to he could do it today at my 38 week appointment.  I'm really considering it but would love to hear everyone's feed back and how it went for them! This is my 3rd baby and I've never had it done before 😁 Thanks Ladies ☺️

@39 weeks had MS at 4pm- was in labor by 1am w/ contraction at 5 mins apart. Baby girl was born at noon the next day!

I had my membranes stripped at 11 that morning & my water broke around 10 that night. Contractions started within two hours of having them stripped

Had mine done this morning at my regular appointment. Water broke as I was checking out. Baby arrived about seven hours later!

I'm not doing it. My Dr even told me that it's only going to work if baby is ready. My best friend had it.. said it was AWFUL and she still went 2 weeks over. I'm just going to have lots of sex and try and walk 😜

Been having back labor since sunday i went in today at 37w2d & had my membranes swept at around 1pm. I was only 1cm baby is already a little over 8lbs & so far just a few sporadic strong contractions. His is my
2nd baby first one i had to be induced  12 days after my due date so im hoping this membrane sweep does the trick bcus i really hated being induced with pitocin. It was a horrible experience.

i went in at 39 weeks and was 2cm dialated 80% effaced. a thursday. had a membrane strip at the officd -
friday all day no contractions but lost my mucus plug all day. 
went into full labor at 4:15am, got to the hospital at 8:00am, had the baby at 10:40am!

I'm 38 weeks and had it done today. I've also had prodromal labor the last 3 weeks and I'm miserable!!! I've had a tiny bit of spotting and some increased discharge. We will see. It's not that uncomfortable during the procedure, and it's over in like 10 seconds.

I had one attempted at 37+6 but cervix was closed but soft I am having another one done on firday and I will be 39 wks so fingers crossed it works and if you goose to get one I hope it works for you good luck

Had mine done yesterday at about 10:30 and nothing yet. Have had a little brown and mucus when I wipe but that's it.
