Low placenta?

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering did anyone ever have a low lying placenta? A few weeks ago I went for an ultrasound because of a bleed. I was 14+5 and all the doctor said was I had a low lying placenta and everything else seemed okay! She didn't seemed to worried about it and said it should move by 20 weeks .. Now I am 20 weeks and will be going for my 20 week ultrasound on the 24th.

So did anybody else have this in early pregnancy but then it moved by their anatomy scan? :-) thanks girls x

I've had 4 kids, and the last 3 I had placenta previa with that moved up and everything was fine! Now I just look at it as a bonus to get an extra ultrasound before they're born! 😉

Found out around 18w, around 24w found out it only moved a little but not enough, and at 29 weeks is when I found out it's completely moved and is no longer a problem.

Mine never moved. Currently 34w5d and on hospital stay due to bleeding, and bed rest previously from 27w to mother's day when I was admitted. Did they tell you no sex? Mine started out low-lying and moved to complete.

I did with my 3 year old. Everything was fine

I'm 18 right now I had same thing, only saw because I get lab reports on phone. Doctor didn't talk about I read up on it a little and asked nurse and they said it's nothing to worry about and kinda normal. It's only a worry if it won't move on its own.
