bmi of 40 have a healthy pregnancy?" /> Been trying to get pregnant and just found out my bmi is 40, so that is probably causing me not to conceive. I've been eating a lot healthier and some exercise, but in case I fall preggo before I lose a lot of weight, I am wondering if I could still have a healthy pregnancy at this bmi. Thank you!

My bmi was over 40 when I got pregnant and it was a completely perfect pregnancy except for bad nausea, and one day where my blood pressure was very high.  But other than that, I had zero problems, and he came out as healthy as can be.

Mine is 44 and my baby is going perfect so far. I'm 12W2D. Baby is measuring a little small but not small enough to worry and has a great strong heartbeat.

My BMI is 35. I'm 5'3" and currently 200. I weighed 155 when I got pregnant the first time and delivered at 200. Then I got pregnant again about a year later, having never lost the weight, and I've only gained 5 lbs at 30 weeks. My first pregnancy was perfect, and so far so is this one. No blood pressure problems or gestational diabetes. I've always been active and ate a healthy diet. That chart isn't to be trusted. Your health is more than a number.
