How long did you wait to get engaged?

Just wondering how long everyone has waited to get engaged. My boyfriend and I are not engaged yet but we have been together for over a year. We have a house together and are looking into moving across the state now. Our relationship is doing great and I'm pretty sure we will be engaged by the end of the year but just wondering when other people got engaged!

My husband asked me to marry him probably a month into actual dating after we talked for 5 yrs. I was afraid of doing anything like that bc I don't believe in divorce. We got married 4 years after physically meeting/finally dating. (we met on a video game) I stalled after dating bc again don't believe in divorce. 
Marriage is hard work but if you have someone who will work with you and is not just all talk then it's worth it. I plan to grow old with this guy, marriage is for the long haul and it's not easy.

My husband an I started dating in high school. I was 16 he was 17. We dated for 8 years before we got engaged and had a 18 month engagement before we got married.

Yup I pretty much knew from about 3 months in that he is the man I will spend the rest of my life with right now it is us bettering every part of our relationship and trying to get financially settled because we want a fairly short engagement

He was gonna ask me after 2 months.....he knew, hell I knew too! But we waited till 1 year 7 months because if we didn't wait our fams would kill us. We got engaged December 20, 2015. 💎💍💗

Engaged 1.5 years into it. Engaged for 2 years. Knew six months in it was for life.

3 months lol....but we had been in previous relationships and were straight up about what we wanted from the get go....and it helped that we were acquaintances of about 3 years before dating

Although it was 5.5 years after we started dating, we knew we wanted to get married after one year. We got married on our 8 year anniversary and we wouldn't change anything. We were practically married just not on paper.
