Ttc with baby #2! Help!

So I have been Ttc for a two or three months now and nothing.. I know it can take time but I'm really anxious every time I get around to the time my period comes so i take a pregnancy test 7 days before my period to see if maybe just maybe I could be pregnant.. I have a 1 year old and I'm young so people think I'm crazy but I really want to get my life situated and be done after my 2nd child. (Also trying for baby girl) anyway I'm 7 days away from period again and I so want to take a test but I know it will say not pregnant.. But lately I've been having hot flashes, cramping,lots of discharge, sore boobs, but is it myself trying to believe I'm pregnant and really not? Any advice or suggestions about this stuff it's like I'm trying for the very first time all over again!
