Do you start producing more milk as time goes by? My baby's 4 days and I can only get like an oz from both breasts. Does this mean I'm not going to be able to breast feed?

Answer

Your milk will come in as time goes along. As long as your feeding on demand or pumping every 2 hrs it will keep increasing till it levels out. It took me till about 3 weeks to produce 2oz per breast. Just remember everyone is different, have patients, and drink lots of water. Hope this comforts your worries.

My baby is 6 weeks n I'm only pumping 2.5 oz for both side together n I'm excessively pumping, it's not enough for her to drink Becuz she drink 3oz or more each feed. How. To boost my supply?

Answer

A newborn's stomach doesn't hold much. Also, the baby is able to extract the milk better than a pump, so the baby is getting more than you think. Just keep feeding on demand, drink lots of water, and as long as baby has enough wet and poopy diapers then  you can feel confident they are getting enough. The more the baby feeds, the more your body will produce milk. It's all about supply and demand.
