Birth control side effects
Over the last year, I've had an upset stomach after eating, literally every time I eat, starting around the time that I started birth control. I saw a doctor, had a million tests done, and everything came back normal. I tried tons of different supplements that my doctor suggested and nothing made it better. Changed my diet, cut out dairy, cut out gluten, generally ate healthier, and nothing made a difference. I noticed though that I felt pretty much fine when I had my period on the inactive weeks.
So basically, I've been trying to find a birth control that works for me and so far I've found nothing. I tried two different types of pills, one that's monophasic (Nixon 1/35) and one that's triphasic (ortho tri cyclen) and my doctor said that if I can't take either of those pills, that I probably cant take any, so she put me on nuvaring, to see if it's the hormones causing the issue, or the fact that it's in a pill form, but I still had issues on that as well. So, right now I'm not using anything. Plan on using FAM once my period goes back to normal. (but if I get pregnant, whatever. I'm married and stable and love kids)
I guess I kinda just need to share my frustration because I don't want to try the copper IUD (women in my family have a history of heavy painful periods and problems with IUDs). Has anyone else ever had problems like this? I didn't think birth control could have this much of an effect on my body and I'm just tired of always feeling sick.
