Long story short...5years ago I lost my only sister and best friend in a tragic car accident. Almost immediatly after I was introduced to percocet. After a year of numbing myself with opiates I found a doctor that prescribed be suboxen and I have been successful with my recovery for past 3 years. Ok so before I found out I was pregnant in Feb. I had chosen to ween off the subs feeling ready and determined. I weened down from 16mgs to 1mg suboxen. Found out I was pregnant and doctor has forced me to continue the medication and also has put my dose up to 8mg a day(which i choose to take 4mg at max) doctor has said its worst for me to ween off of the meds then to continue while pregnant. Heres the thing I dont want to take this medication...I have 3years sober and truly dont understand me being forced into staying on these meds. Had anyone weened off while pregnant? Has anyone given birth to a baby while still taking the subutex? I would never of dreamed being pregnant on this medication and last thing I want is my baby to suffer from my weakness 5years ago. Please help...
