I am a first-time mom and my little one is going to be here in three weeks or less, my husband and I decided that we aren't going to usual route we are not going to ask siblings to be the godparents since they are already aunt and uncle's and I really wanted to ask close family friends. Who I want to ask for the Godfather is a very close family friend to my husband and when we got together and started dating he became like family and always tells me I make him feel like our home is his home. I have helped him in many decisions in his life. We want to make it special on how we ask. What are ways that you guys have asked someone to be a godfather who was a family friend? I feel like siblings expect it but family friends it means more. We haven't chose a godmother yet but we are definitely going to find one before we ask about the Godfather. Thanks in advance!
