I was admitted Monday, for induction on May 10th, for a vaginal birth.  My baby was due 5/13/16, but my doctor said she was definitely ready.
So off we went with an ideal birthplan and ready to take on this new adventure.  We get there to have the cervical softner inserted at this time, I was having mild contractions on my own, that were about 4 to 6 minutes apart...4 hours later, nothing, dilation = 0.
Second dose administered, another 4 hours later.....again, dilation= 0.
At 11 am the next day, they gave me the cervical softner orally, now with double the dose.  6 hours later...dilated to 1...and within 15 minutes dilated to 3!!! Now it was time for Pitocin! Let's get this show on the road....
After 7 more hours, painful contractions like no other, an epidural......doctor comes to check, I was still at 3 cm!!!
He tells us, change of plans, "we'll need to deliver this baby via c section."
Something we weren't mentally prepared for....but when I tell you, God's plans will always trump what we plan for our lives, nothing could ever be more true.
My baby was delivered at 11:18 pm on May 10th, weighing 6.6 oz and measuring 18.5 inches long.
Hearing her first cries were all I needed to hear to know, I would never love something so much, she is our everything and we love her so much.  She is perfect in every way, bc she is a representation of God's love and faithfulness to us.
My beautiful Seylah Isabelle, Mommy and Daddy love you!!!!
