Nervous....what to expect?

So Im suppose to be having a c section at 34 weeks (june 2) Im currently 31 weeks I'm having a c section early because I have placenta previa and I have had 3 big bleeds already...I've been hospitalised since 26 weeks and this has been a long journey I'm ready to meet my princess and go home! I'm a FTM and I'm wondering what is there to expect after having a c section how long did it take you to heal? When did the stitches come out? How painful is  recuperating ? What do you recommend I wear when I leave?

My c section was a LONG time ago but... It was a good two weeks before I was feeling normalish. The trick for healing is to get moving asap, but take it easy cause a little goes a long way at first.  They used dissolving stitches (thank god) so I didn't have to go back and have them removed. As for something to wear, I would say something that fit you comfortably at about 6 months. Make sure it goes around your waist! You won't want anything low rise cause it will irritate the incision.  Good luck Mama!

You may have staples instead of stitches.... No heavy lifting or strenuous activity for 6 weeks including pelvic rest.
