Why do people feel the need to judge others?

I went and had my pregnancy confirmed and decided just to announce it to my friends and family today. I always tell everyone everything. Im an open book and i love the support and love and happiness I've received. But there are a few who just made the whole thing a downer, like "why did you announce it so early?" Kind of stuff. It really upset me and now i feel bad like im terrible for being me.. maybe im just too emotional but for gods sake can't people just leave the negativity at the door?? Especially coming from the people id be and have been more than happy for when and if they got pregnant.

I announced at six weeks. If anyone is going to judge you for being excited, tell them to suck your toe.

I don't understand people that say it's too early because heaven forbid I had a miscarriage why would I want to keep that to myself . I would want my family's  prayers and hugs and support I wouldn't want to bottle my feelings

There's nothing more hurtful than feeling like you aren't good enough or a good enough person. There's nothing wrong with announcing early especially when you're just so excited. Don't let people get you down. Focus on the love and support you receive and forget about the negativity. You and your baby don't need that. Congratulations!!!! And continue being yourself no matter what!!!

People always have negative things to say.. The key is to just ignore it. It may seem easier said than done but honestly once you get over the initial "why is everyone so mean" you'll feel so much better!

Some people just don't know how not to share their thoughts, negative or not. I personally would never share pregnancy news before the second trimester, but I've miscarried 3 times prior to this pregnancy and it was hard enough to deal with them alone, let alone when people who don't know are constantly asking how the baby is--I got to the point where I would respond with a very nasty "well it's dead" and it just wasn't a fun time for anyone. So maybe the people who are saying you're sharing early have been through something similar, and aren't necessarily trying to be negative? Everyone has their reasons I suppose. Just try to give them the benefit of the doubt and don't let it spoil you being happy with your happy news :)
