Use a sharpie to draw a circle around the redness. If the redness expands outside the circle see your doctor immediately as it could be Lyme disease.

Could have been a spider bite, ticks you have to pull/burn off because once they latch on they don't let go a good example are those large disgusting ones on outside dogs who have been playing in the weeds.
