What bedding to put in cot

Question

I have bought a coverlet and bumper set as well as the sheets and a fleece blanket but is that all I will need at first? I read somewhere that you shouldn't use a duvet for the first year and should use a sleeping bag instead. Also don't worry I'm not using the bumper but I could only get the coverlet and bumper as a set.
Any advise would be very useful xx

I have a five year old brother (my mom started way over ha) they just put him in warm clothes or swaddled him and it's what I plan to do with mine. I swear by swaddling!

I'm using a circular blanket the one with holes in it again this time. I don't like the idea of sleeping bags and they can slide inside and can't kick covers off if too hot so can overheat. I just gave a blanket, no pillow, no bumpers. I also users to just put the Moses basket inside the cot for first few months so she didn't have so much space around her and got used to be cot at same time

Only a couple sets of sheets and then will swaddle. ❤️

I will use a sheet and a baby sleeping bag - nothing else in the cot. Blankets and bumpers etc have been shown to increase the risk of SIDS.

What is a coverlet? And what do you mean by cot? The crib? We just bought a couple different sheets bc I imagine we'll be changing them quite often and a couple different soft lightweight blankets! And we have one quilt for the winter.
