Guy drama don't know what to do.

So there's this guy, I've known him since my first day off school after I moved to a new province. And I always thought of him as a friend or as a brother. We're in cadets together we don't go to the same school currently but I'm transferring to his next year because I have like two friends at the one I'm at know and many there. Anyways so over March break we were talking normally and that turned into kinda like sexting then nothing else happened until the week before last. When we talk late I always "joke" about hooking up with him and the other day I "joked" again and he was like 'what's the point you're not serious' and I confessed I was serious so we talked about it seriously and then a few days later we were talking around 12 and ended up trading pics and two nights after that there was a dance at his school and I went to it with some friends and we ended up grinding Idk about him but that was my first time grinding with someone of the opposite sex. But like I developed a little crush well I thought it was only little then last night he told me he only saw me as a friend and that he liked an old friend of mine (we went separate pathes) and I just said I did too but I ended up calling my best friend to come over because I was a mess and I saw that guy today and I'll see him tomorrow because of cadets and I'm hurt about it and he doesn't know and he thinks everything is fine but it's not. And I really don't know what to do. If I tell him I like him I could ruin our friendship and stuff and I really don't know what to do.
