When should I test?
Hello everyone,
With my PCOS I have cycles that are anovulatory between 28-32 days. If I take Clomid, it makes me ovulate and the cycle is about 32-36 days.
I was on Clomid with my ex but we didn't conceive. I am waiting for AF at the moment to begin my first round of Clomid with my fiancé.
It's now CD37 with no sign AF is about to arrive (usually I get musty cm and lower abdomen aching - sorry if tmi, 1-2 days before).
My cervix is also high and feels closed.
It's not impossible that I may ovulate on my own but HIGHLY unlikely (almost impossible).
What day should I do a hpt? Any advice? In total, I have been trying to become a mum for over 8 years but in all that time there have only been 2 times I thought it may have happened and an early miscarriage 1 year in... So as you can guess, knowing when I should/ shouldn't test isn't really my strong suit.
I guess I am confused because IF (and it really is a big if) I did ovulate on my own, it would change when I should test. I don't want to run the risk of a false bfn (even though I'm not getting my hopes up for anything else), but I HATE waiting to test like everyone else.
I just want to know what's going on!
Apart from AF taking her sweet time, I've had slightly sore boobs localised around the nipples, I've been tired (but I work 10 hour shifts so that could explain why), my lower back has been a bit sensitive as well, for example, if I lay on my belly, my lower back completely cramps up!
I've been picking up some strange smells too. Not overpowering but no one else seems to smell them. My fiancé looked baffled when I said I could smell tomato soup earlier. That could just be my mind playing tricks on me though. Touching paper is also making me cringe for some reason. Could be pms I suppose but these are unusual signs for me.
After 8 years I've learnt to doubt every "symptom" as my desire to have a baby running away with me.
Anyone had any similar experiences?
Any recommendations on testing times?
Thanks in advance and babydust to all
