Would it be wrong to continue to date someone for fun even though you don't see them in your future? We've been dating for over 1 year. & I'm realizing that the future won't work with him. I'm 18 so Is it bad to stay with him?

I would be honest with the guy and tell him that you don't see anything long term with him.

I had an open relationship pretty much for 3 months because that's all I wanted was to just have fun and have sex. When things simmered out there were no hurt feelings or anything. But if you are already in a serious relationship and you are now realizing you don't want anything long term I'd tell the guy and not keep dragging him around.

It's wrong if he doesn't know this is how you feel and he feels otherwise. Don't waste his time or lead him on - that would be wrong. But if you're both (truly) on the same page and want to keep things fun and casual and in the moment, then I don't see a problem.

If who you're dating is on the same page with you then cool just have fun. But if you haven't told them then you are just playing with their feelings and that's messed up. If someone dates you "just for fun" and you genuinely loved them you would feel hurt, right?

As long as he is on board. It would be awful to continue if he was investing himself thinking it would lead somewhere.
