Very confused about weeks/months converted to trimesters...HELP!!

Ok, so! I was looking on a few different sites & it most say 28 weeks means you're 7 months pregnant. However, according to others, your 3rd trimester starts when you're 27 weeks along, which is just before you hit 7 months. I'm just very confused, am I in my 3rd trimester at 27 weeks or 28!?
