High blood pressure

I recently found out that I have high blood pressure. (Something doctors always commented on but never addressed - when I would ask about it since it runs in my family, I was only told to just wait and to lose weight) 😔 I'm currently 8 weeks and due to high blood pressure I was told I'm considered high risk and cannot work with the midwives or have a home birth. I've also had people tell me there is no way I will have a natural birth due to the high blood pressure. 😔 looking for encouragement - have any of you been in this situation? High blood pressure and successfully had a natural vaginal birth ?
