Being induced to having a bigger baby?

Had my growth scan today. I'm 29 weeks and 2 days, baby weighs (which I know is not always accurate) 3 pounds, 13 ounces. Big boy, I know! My doctor said at this rate, he'll more than likely induce me at 37 weeks. I'm type 2 diabetic, so I can see why baby is bigger and why I would need to be induced. Hopefully baby boys blood sugar will be stable and he won't need NICU time. Anyone have any experience with being diabetic and pregnant? How was your little one? (if they needed NICU time etc) If you were induced, how did that go? Did you end up needing a c section? Sorry for all the questions!

My friend and I had same due date (March 26)....she was diabetic...our babies were both induced a day apart at 37w....her baby weighted over 10 pounds and had to be in NICU for 4 days due to blood sugar and eating issues....my baby was 6 pounds 1 ounce no NICU....

My MIL was not induced, but had GD and went into labor between 37-38 weeks. Her three boys weighed between 8.10 and 9.10 all of them came out vaginally, and only one (her youngest/my husbands little brother) had minimal NICU time due to blood sugar, and he couldn't/didn't poop. Hope this helps! All of my babies have had NICU time due to prematurity ranging a day to over a month, and although very scary please don't stress over it! (Easier said than done I know).

I had GD and had a free birth at home. At 27 weeks I measured 4 weeks over but  everything was fine when he was born, baby had normally blood sugar and was 7lbs 4oz so pretty normal. I was 39 weeks when I had him.
