Co sleeping?

I know this is a VERY controversial subject, I dont want to hear horror stories. I just want to know any one that did this and their opinions?

Co-sleeping = baby in the same room as parent(s)

Bed sharing = baby sleeping in the same bed as parent(s)

I have slept with my daughter since we brought her home from the hospital and she is three years old now. I'm a light sleeper and it was only she and I in the bed. No extra blankets or pillows. Cosleeping is the norm in many parts of the world. It worked for us but this is a very individual decision.

I slept with my son from the time they gave him to me in the hospital. The nurses would always say junk to me but I ignored them. It was the only way he would sleep. He's scared of the dark so if he's in his room alone he wakes up several times a night but if he sleeps with me and my husband he sleeps all night. He also had apnea when he was a nb and would stop breathing in his sleep so me waking up to check on him while he was in his swing and finding him not breathing or gasping for air was too much. If he slept with me he never had spells like that. My mother in law watches him because his father and I both work night shift and she makes him sleep in his room.

Besides a nap, I never Co slept with my daughter. It made it a lot easier to transition her into her own room and for her to sleep while I got other things done.

I used a co sleeper. Never ever the bed. 
I never had sex w her in the room even sleeping.

I only did it for about the first two months and then depended on the baby monitor.

Prior to having my son, I swore that I would never co-sleep. As a first time "mom to be" I believed it was way too dangerous. But my opinion totally changed once I had my son. We co-slept for the first year. It was the only way we all got quality sleep and it made breast feeding so easy. He had naps in his crib and transitioned to his own bed fairly easy. Co-sleeping was the right choice for us. Every family has to decide what works best for them.

We've co slept off and on for my sons whole life (he's 4). It was so much easier and it seemed like we slept better when he was in bed with us. We never had any issues and put him in his crib when we wanted/needed. Once he transitioned to a toddler bed he gets in bed with us as he pleases. I've always loved having the extra snuggles!

I did it for the first 3 months with my oldest since I am a light sleeper when it comes to my babies. After the first 3 I laid her to sleep in her pak n play next to me. With my second she slept in her bed from the get go because she's a premie and I didn't want to risk anything. This one I'm set on putting him in his pak n play next to me or the little bassinet that came with the pak I got so he can sleep in it next to me on our king size for easy boob access
