Overnight rights?

What are my rights as a mum stopping my child's dad from having our baby over night? He see's our child often and brings him back home to me before bedtime. If he was to take me to court for overnight access where would I stand? I have my own reasons for not feeling comfortable with it, I'd never stop him having our son but day times only.

If he takes you to court you're likely to get 50/50 custody so he'll be allowed you're baby over night and have the same rights as you. Unless you have a good reason for him not to

If he takes you to court he will more than likely get the over nights. It has to be something very serious for them to deny him the rights to overnights. It will gradually start, but will become a normal thing, if he's the dad he gets the time.

I don't know where you're from, and the law varies a lot. But typically your reasons have to be VERY convincing ones. If Daddy wants to make pancake breakfast on Fathers Day.... You're going to need really convincing reasons like safety or lack of a place to sleep or junkie girlfriend or something convincing for a judge to say no he can't. But again, the law varies a lot depending on where you are. See your lawyer.
